NYU Home Login

Video demonstration and instructions on how to use the NYU Home Login:

Log in to your nyu home account now:

1. To properly log in to your nyu home account, you will need to get into the nyu home Login page: https://login.nyu.edu/sso/UI/Login?goto=https%3A%2F%2Fshibboleth.nyu.edu%3A443%2Fidp%2FAuthn%2FRemoteUser

2. Log in to your destination by entering your NetID first on the designated text area located in the log in panel.

3. You should enter your password on the next text field as it is the second required log in information.

4. You can finish the process by clicking the Login button below your password.



Reset your nyu home Login Credentials:

1. Make sure you type in the correct URL! There is no "www" in front of home.nyu.edu. And, for best results, make sure that you're running the latest version of the web browser and that you've checked your browser settings against their recommended settings.

2. At the log in field, click the Need Help? link. You will be taken to a new page where you should click the "Forgot your password?" link.

What if I forget my password?

If you have forgotten your password, point an Internet browser to the NYU Start page, enter your NetID, and click the "Start" button. On the next screen, click the "Continue" button, which will walk you through the steps of validating yourself and requesting a reminder of your password.

What if I forget my password and the answer to my password hint?

If you are unable to remember the answer to the password hint presented to you on the NYU Start page, please bring your NYUCard to the IT Service Desk at 10 Astor Place, 4th floor to verify your identity and have your password and hint reset.

If you are truly unable to come to the IT Service Desk in person (e.g., you live abroad), contact the IT Service Desk at 1-212-998-3333 or via the Ask ITS form for further instructions.

I'm trying to login to my account, and it keeps telling me that my login ID or password is incorrect. What should I do?

Try logging in again, making sure that you have typed your NetID and password correctly: All NYU NetIDs are in lower case; did you use lower case when you typed your NetID? Is Caps Lock on by accident? Are you typing your Google Apps password by mistake? Assuming that you do know your NetID, if you try again and you still can't login, you should follow the instructions at What if I forget my password? above. If this still doesn't work, you should go to the IT Service Desk with your NYUCard (10 Astor Place, 4th floor) and a staff member will help you.
